SCARBOROUGH'S Rotunda Museum has scooped a top award.
It has won a highly commended award in the Museums and Heritage Show's conservation category.
The news was delivered as Scarborough Museums Trust was distributing a leaflet in languages which reflect the nationality of its European visitors and residents.
It was made possible by the Rotary Club of Scarborough Cavaliers which arranged the translations, design and printing of the leaflet in Spanish, German, Polish and Dutch.
Shirley Collier, chief executive of the museums trust, said: "The trust owes a huge thank you to the Rotary Cavaliers for the production of this leaflet. It is not just about the cost but very much about how many members gave up personal time to arrange all the translations, design and print. We are truly grateful and truly appreciate this valuable support."
Richard Grunwell, who led the project on behalf of the Rotary Club, said: "We wanted to support the museum and this seemed something that was useful and practical. Scarborough Museums Trust tells us they are flying out of tourist information centres and hotels."
