CHEERS to regulars at a village pub who have raised £575.68 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Manager of the East Riding in Sherburn Daniel Bean was joined by some of his customers and their families when he handed over the cash to Bob Smailes from the air ambulance.
The money was made at a Boxing Day fancy dress football match – in which 40 villagers took part.
“We decided on the air ambulance because I used to be with the fire brigade and know what a great job it does,” said Mr Bean, who has been manager of the East Riding since April.
He is now planning an over-35 versus under 35 cricket match in the summer with proceeds also going to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
