THREE cars were involved in a crash on the A64 yesterday afternoon.

Police officers and firefighers were called to the incident at Golden Hill, near Malton, at 12.50pm.

A silver Volkswagen Jetta, silver Peugeot 206 and white Scania tractor had all been involved in the collision.

Police say one of the drivers had to be cut free from his vehicle with paramedics on hand to treat minor injuries.

Debris was sprayed across both carriageways.

The road was reopened at around 2pm.
