Wind turbine ‘an eyesore’

A BID to build a 20-metre high wind turbine at Golden Square Farm, Low Marishes, between Malton and Pickering, has been given the thumbs down by Malton Town Council. Councillors said the wind turbine would be an “intrusive eyesore on land which is at the entrance to the Vale of Pickering.”

They also fear that it could set a precedent for other applications in Ryedale.
