ONE hundred years of history have been torn down at Malton Market.

Cattle pens that had been installed by R Yates and Sons and used since the first days of the market were dismantled and taken away by Farrow Scrap Metal Merchants, of Swinton.
Peter Woodall, of Cundalls, said: "We haven't used that area for a long time. It will offer more parking for our customers and it also provides parking for the town."
