RYEDALE Folk Museum is offering visitors free entry to its Christmas Weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

And bosses at the Hutton-le-Hole attraction are hoping to top last year’s attendance figures which saw more than 1,200 people flood through the gates.

The museum will be open from 10.30am to 3.30pm on both days and will offer demonstrations in blacksmithing, wood and textile crafts, children’s activities, craft sales, stalls, a raffle, tombola and festive music.

And as part of the end of season celebrations, the buildings and grounds will be decorated for Christmas with winter-inspired photographs, glass and metal work all for sale in its Winter Story gallery exhibition.
