A seminal album by The Beatles will be celebrated at a special 60s Music Vinyl Night in Pickering next month.

The Pickering 60s Festival Committee will play songs from Please Please Me at The Sun Inn, Westgate, to mark the 50th anniversary of its release.

The special event on Wednesday April 3, is in addition to regular vinyl nights held every third Thursday of the month at The Sun Inn where the public are invited to bring along their own 45s.

The committee is also planning other one-off specials devoted to other decades. Pictured at The Sun Inn are Martin and Penny Robertson and Bruce Pickup.
