Actor Ian Carmichael dies aged 89

VETERAN British actor Ian Carmichael, who went to school in Scarborough and lived near Whitby, has died aged 89.
Mr Carmichael, who went to Scarborough College, was a film, television, stage and radio actor and appeared in shows including The Royal and The World of Wooster.

He died peacefully at his home in Esk Valley, near Whitby, where he lived with his wife Kate Fenton
