BOOK lovers are welcome to exercise their "Mind and Body" at libraries across Ryedale this month.
As part of the National Year of Reading, North Yorkshire County Council is exploring the link between reading and health at events ranging from hypnotherapy, through to hair styling and question and answer sessions.
Libraries will also stock books
on mental and physical health with self-help manuals on subjects including anxiety and depressions, anger management, bereavement and dealing with change.
And to reflect the growing Polish community in the district, there is a new collection of books for adults and children in the Polish language with novels by writers such as JK Rowling, AA Milne, Harlan Coben and Danielle Steel.
