HAS Anne Robinson finally met her match?
The television presenter who strikes fear into the hearts of contestants on BBC One’s The Weakest Link comes face to face with a Pickering taxi driver this Monday.

And for Danny Brown, of Bakers Taxis, it saw him achieve another one of his ambitions.

“You have got to get on the telly once in your life so I thought why not,” said the 35-year-old. “I have always wanted to be in the audience of Top of the Pops dancing and appear on a game show and now I’ve done both!”

After applying and passing an audition in Newcastle, Danny was invited down to Pinewood Studios in February with other contestants where they eventually met Anne.

He said: “The first time she speaks to you is when she asks her first question. The music stops and Anne stops and turns to you. The first question is terrible because you have got no idea and are so nervous.”

Sadly he did not get to meet Anne after the show because she had more episodes to film during that day.

But he added: “It was brilliant. As long as you go in to have a laugh you have a good day.”

Danny is appearing on The Weakest Link this Monday at 5.15pm.
