ONE of the country's most
entertaining wine writers will
be raising a glass or two at a
hotel in Helmsley next week.

Malcolm Gluck wrote The
Guardian's Saturday
Superplonk column for 16
years until 2004 and presented
Gluck Gluck Gluck for BBC2
television.
The author of 36 books on
wine, he is widely regarded
for his expansive knowledge
and good humour.
Visitors to the Black Swan
Hotel can put these claims to
the test when they join
Malcolm for dinner at special
event being held on November
2.
A four course dinner created
by award-winning chef
Andrew Burton will be accompanied
by wines specifically
chosen by the writer.
The Black Swan is about to
undergo a major renaissance
which will include the creation
of a tearoom.
The dinner is £58 per person,
which includes wine and
coffee and booking can be
made by contacting the hotel
on 01439 770466.
