Supermarket contract joy for firm
A FARMER-owned business in Malton has been awarded a contract to supply 40 of supermarket chain Tesco’s stores in Yorkshire.
Yorkshire Farmers say their high welfare pork brand Yorkshire Outdoor Pork has been successful in gaining a listing with the major retailer which will be stocking up to four varieties of their premium pork sausages produced from pigs born, bred and fed in Yorkshire.
Not only is Yorkshire Outdoor Pork supporting the local farming community but also entering into partnership with some of the county’s iconic brands to deliver some outstanding local sausages.
Cunningham’s Piccalilli and Smedleys Red Onion Chutney are two of the brands featured in the regional flavour variations available.
Yorkshire Outdoor Pork is owned by Yorkshire Farmers Livestock Marketing Ltd, a farmer owned livestock marketing business based in Malton.
