Howard Croft column: Shovelling money at the BBC incompetents
It has been very interesting to watch over recent months the growing unpopularity of the television
licence, not only among those who pay it but those who benefit from it. It has never been exactly popular with the public, but accepted; increasingly now they resent it. The beneficiaries, having loved it once no longer do because it is increasingly possible legally to avoid paying it while watching BBC output on iPads and mobile telephones, though why anyone would want to watch telly on a mobile is beyond me.
