Another quacking day is expected when Slingsby Duck Race returns this Saturday.
The fun begins on Slingsby sports field at 12pm where a number of attractions are planned, including bouncy castles, a Karate display and music from the school choir.
Then, at 3.30pm, the real fun begins when a 1,500-strong armada of ducks will race down the beck in a bid to be crowned this year’s winner.
Ducks, costing £1 each, are available in advance from Robin Hood Caravan Park, Slingsby, or on the day. Money raised will be used by the Friends of Slingsby School to pay for swimming lessons, school trips and more.
