Former pupils and staff from Malton School are being urged to visit the new-look Maltonians website which has recently undergone a complete overhaul.

Steve Fearnley, the school’s former deputy head from 1993 to 2012, has devoted countless hours to the revamp of the site which is now “much simpler to navigate than the old one.”

Already online are more than 1,000 photos from the last 100 years at Malton School, videos plays and events, historical documents from the 1547 Foundation charter to recent newsletters, a “What’s New” section, biographies, memories, articles and other gems.

“Since launching the new site it has been good to hear from former students all over the world – emails have arrived from many parts of Britain as well as from Australia, America, Canada and Peru,” said Steve.

“A Maltonians Facebook page has also been created and has received lots of ‘likes’ and ‘friends.’ There is still lots of material to add to the site, and new content is posted weekly. Just recently, I have put on over 40 photographs from plays performed in 1981 and 1983 – prompted by a contact from the teacher who produced the plays, Adrian Everitt.”
