Attractive list of events at Malton Show

ORGANISERS of the Malton Show have unveiled this year's bumper list of attractions.

Along with the usual agricultural attractions at Scampston Park on July 19, chairman Charlie Breese has announced the return of the Bold-dogs Lings Motorcycle Stunt Team to the main ring along with falconry demonstrations and displays ranging from vintage tractors through to heavy horses and show jumping.

Other attractions include sheep dog trials, miniature railways, more than 150 different trade and craft stands and children’s entertainment such as Martin Allen the magician, free face painting and Paul Delaney who will be clowning around and giving free plate spinning lessons and balloon modelling.

The Middleton Hunt hounds will once again be testing their speed against visiting children in the main ring and there is also, for the first time, ferret racing.

This year’s president is Jack Bulmer, who has been associated with the show for the past 50 years, while the main sponsors of the show are BATA.

Steven Clarke, of BATA, said: “As a local business closely involved with the rural community, Directors and staff at BATA are pleased to extend their long standing support of Malton Show and wish all concerned a successful event and a fine day.”
