Bakers swapped rolling pins for walking boots when took part in a charity ramble to aid three children’s hospices. Some 35 staff from Thomas the Baker raised more than £1,800 in their eight-mile walk which started at the company’s headquarters at Helmsley, and saw the staff make their way on a route around the North York Moors National Park.
“A great – but tiring – day was had by all,” said Chris Chapman of Thomas the Baker’s. “We couldn’t believe we raised so much and everyone was very generous with their support and time. All three of the charities are very close to our hearts.”
