Bandit machine theft

POLICE are trying to trace four men who are believed to have stolen between £200 to £300 from a gambling machine in a Ryedale pub.

The suspects first visited the Hyde Park, Mill Street, Norton, on Friday at around 5pm and played on the machine while enjoying a few drinks. Police say they then returned at around 7.15pm and began playing pool and the machine in the pool room.

Two of the men are then said to have distracted bar staff while the other two forced open the bandit machine and took the cash.

They were last seen walking up Mill Street
towards Beverley Road.

One of the men is described as around 25-years-old, six feet tall, with a stocky build and shaved dark brown hair. He had a very distinctive deep scar running from the corner of his mouth in a curve towards his ear.

He was wearing a blue jumper with a yellow logo on the front and jeans.

The second suspect was in his mid-twenties, around six feet tall, with a stocky build and short dark hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, possibly with a picture of a female on the front.

The third man, also in his mid-twenties, had a Glaswegian accent and was slim, around 5’6” tall, with short dark hair. The final man was around six feet tall, stocky and was possibly wearing a black jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Sarah Owen at Malton Police Station on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
