Ryedale has once again fared well in the shortlist for this year’s White Rose Awards.
Six businesses have been nominated in Britain’s biggest tourism awards which covers 16 categories and celebrates the best Yorkshire attractions, hotels, B&Bs, caravan parks, restaurants and many more.
The shortlist was chosen by an independent judging panel with the winners to be announced later this year.
Among those nominated is The Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa, Helmsley, which will compete in the Small Hotel category, alongside The Talbot Hotel, Malton.
Rebecca Hill, head of sales and marketing at The Feversham Arms, said the staff and directors are delighted with their nomination.
“If you speak to any of the hotels, they will say a lot of hard work goes in to meet the needs of customers and it is nice for this to be recognised with a nomination for a White Rose Award.”
David Macdonald, general manager of The Talbot Hotel, said: “We are very pleased that we have been shortlisted for the award and are hopeful that we will do enough to win. There has been a lot of hard work over the past year to be a driving force for Malton and with what we have been doing with our attention to service and focus on local suppliers.”
