HELMSLEY Arts Centre is £1,000 better off after a Cruise and Fashion Show.

The money was donated by Spear Travels and Pennita Fashions who organised the event at The Feathers Hotel.

Libby Cookson, director of Spear Travels which recently opened its seventh branch in Helmsley, said: “We thoroughly enjoyed teaming up with Pennita for a fun night of fashion and cruising whilst raising a fabulous amount of money for a very
worthy local cause.

“It was the perfect way to celebrate Helmsley becoming the latest branch in our company.”

And Penny Wilshire-Brudenell, owner of Pennita Fashions in Helmsley, added, “Everyone had a great night and we are delighted we raised so much money for The Helmsley Arts Centre. Following such a success we are already planning future charity nights.”
