A series of services are planned by St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Pickering, to mark Easter in the coming days.

On Maundy Thursday at 7.30pm, there will be the Eucharist and Stripping of the Altars. This will be followed by The Liturgy of the Cross on Good Friday, from 12pm to 1.45pm, concluded with the Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday, 1.45pm to 3pm. Holy Saturday will see the candlelit Service of Light and First Eucharist of Easter at 8pm. On Easter Sunday, Father Antony Pritchett will lead Holy Communion at 8am and the Holy Eucharist at 10am.

The Easter celebrations end on Monday, from 10am to 3pm, when coffee and tea, cakes and scones are served as the church resumes its Monday Market Coffee Mornings.

Easter Monday also marks The Vicar’s Gift Day where letters are sent to every house in Pickering, asking people to help care for the church building.
