Coffee for good cause

A coffee morning is taking place at the WRVS Hungate Centre in Pickering to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 19 from 10am to noon.

Entry is only £1 to include coffee and a home-made cream scone. There will also be a raffle, tombola and cake, crafts and bric-a-brac stalls and all proceeds will go towards support care of patients in the local area.

Meanwhile, the country market, which takes place on a Thursday at the WRVS Hungate Centre, will restart tomorrow when it will be open from 9.30-11.30am.

Fitness pilates classes have also resumed at the centre on Mondays from 9.30-10.30am.
