Communication skills in focus

editorial image

THIRTY six hand-picked students have been given a lesson in communication skills last week.

They had been invited to attend Malton Sports Centre for an afternoon of training with a School Sports Co-ordinator.

The students, from years five and six, were nominated by their schools after demonstrating good leadership qualities since the start of the school year.

Working alongside Community Sports Leaders from Malton School, they completed a series of leadership activities aimed at furthering their communication skills.

Students have now been set the challenge of returning to their schools and organising a “taster” sports session in their schools.
