Electric fence stolen from farmer’s field

Police in Ryedale want to speak to witnesses who may have information about the theft of an electric fence unit from a farm in Yedingham, near Malton.

The green Rudland EB200 electrical fence unit was stolen from a field at Abbey Farm, in the early hours of Tuesday, November 26.

Officers are now conducting enquiries and are asking for the public’s help to find the people responsible.

In particular, they are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the Yedingham area or who knows the whereabouts of the stolen fencing to contact them.

PC Ray Thwaites of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The unit was taken from an isolated field with no CCTV or overlooking property. Therefore it’s important that anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area on the night in question, gets in touch. As well as anyone who believes the know where the unit is now.”
