People who believe they can make a difference are needed for a new “fun-draising” team.
Sight Support Ryedale is seeking new volunteer recruits for the Friends of Sight Support group which will help with organising activities that will swell the charity’s coffers.
Janice Every, the Chief Officer of the charity, said: “You can give as much, or as little, time as suits you – or just get involved in the events which particularly appeal to you. The overall aim is to raise funds for the charity, but also for it to be fun!”
She added: “This new venture is really good news for the charity. It’ll help us to become more self-sufficient in our fundraising so that we are not so reliant on grants from Trusts in order to cover the costs of all the services we provide and the activities we offer for sight impaired people in the area.”
