Gallery’s opening

A BRAND new gallery is set to add a new dimension to Nunnington when it opens on Valentine’s Day.

Kate and Nick Bentley will launch Bils & Rye after moving into the once-famous Nunnington Studios – the former home of Henry Moore’s protégée, John Bunting.

The gallery will stock solely three dimensional designs in ceramics, stone, paper, metal, wood, glass and more by artists from across the United Kingdom.

They also plan to offer a sourcing service – representing clients at auctions,
commissioning works and locating objets d’art from around the world.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said “We’re thrilled to hear that the Bils & Rye gallery is set to open up next month and is a terrific addition to Yorkshire’s growing reputation for being the European capital of sculpture.”
