The London Marathon beckons for a Terrington’s George Hall.
A Biomedical Science student at Southampton University, George will run the 26-miler for Ryedale Special Families (RSF) and The Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
His training regime has seen him hit the roads two to three times a week since November in preparation for what will be his first ever marathon.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge, I’ve never done anything like this before and I thought I might as well throw myself in at the deep end and go for it,” said George.
Every summer he returns to Ryedale and helps RSF with their extensive programme of activities for children with special needs. He is so impressed with what the organisation does for the children and their families that he has decided to try and raise £1,500.
He also wants to support The Bob Champion Cancer Trust, a charity that is dedicated to funding research into the detection and treatment of prostate and testicular cancer.
George’s grandfather is currently undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.
