Heating boost for residents

Householders in Ryedale are set to benefit from a share of more than £273,850 in Government funding.

The money has been allocated from the Renewable Heat Premium Payment Communities Scheme to support the installation of renewable heating
systems in 44 homes across Ryedale.

The scheme is designed to support domestic renewable heat installations in privately-owned homes in England, Wales and Scotland, particularly those with a middle to low income that are not connected to the mains gas network.

Cllr Linda Cowling, Leader of Ryedale District Council, said: “It is excellent news that the 44 Ryedale residents involved in the scheme to date will benefit from this partnership effort to help local people and the environment.”
