LOOKING Good, Feeling Great.

That is the name of an event designed to improve the mood, mental health and well-being of youngsters at the Milton Rooms, Malton, tomorrow afternoon.

Rap poetry, art sessions and laughter therapy will be on offer from the organisers, North Yorkshire LINK, as well as live music and free pizza.

It is aimed at helping 16 to 25 year-olds understand how to cope with stress and spot the warning signs before it develops into something more serious like depression.

There will also be a market place of stands offering advice on everything from drugs and alcohol support to coping with bullying.

“I hope lots of young people will come along on the day - we hope that there will be something that will appeal to everyone and they can stay all afternoon or just drop in for an hour or so,” said supporter Di Keal, the Mayor of Norton.

“Like everyone else, young people often find themselves facing stress in their everyday lives,
be it from exams, family situations or relationships - we hope they will take this opportunity to call in
with their friends, enjoy the activities and find out a bit more about how to cope with these
issues.”

The Looking Good, Feeling Great event, which will be compered by Ryan Swain, runs at the Milton Rooms tomorrow from 12pm to 6pm.
