Only a few days remain to pick up a nomination form and vote for those people in Malton and Norton who deserve recognition for their dedication to the community.
The organisers of Pride of Malton and Norton Awards have issued a final appeal to ensure no stone is left unturned before the closing date on Friday.
It is the fourth year of the awards which have seen dozens of deserving people rewarded for their selfless or inspirational actions.
“There are only a few days left for you to put pen to paper and nominate that special person who does so much for little or no reward,” said joint organiser Mandy West. “We want to celebrate those people who have pride in their community – whether it’s an inspirational teacher, a work colleague who goes that extra mile or even a youngster who has achieved a great deal.”
Among the categories in which people can be nominated are Teacher of the Year, which rewards those educators inside and outside of school, who help to guide the next generation, and the Bright Young Star award which is handed out to a youngster who has achieved excellence in anything from sports, education, charity fundraising or by giving their time to help others less fortunate.
