Adult learning will come under the spotlight at libraries across Ryedale next week.
As part of Adult Learners’ Week, which runs for seven days from Saturday, libraries will be offering bite-size taster sessions, including a class on how to download books to an E-reader at Pickering, or becoming familiar with Windows 8 at Malton Library.
Anyone interested in discovering about the different courses available to them should visit their local library.
Classes and courses come in different styles to suit the needs of the learner and can be completed online or face-to-face.
County Cllr Chris Metcalfe, executive member for libraries, said: “We are proud of North Yorkshire libraries’ contribution to Adult Learning because learning can really take you places.
“Even in later life, this learning journey has just begun and can lead you to new and exciting places including career change.”
