Live rock night for Louby

A LIVE rock music night is being held in memory of a teenager who died after a long battle with illness.

Three bands will take to the stage at The Black Swan, Pickering, on Saturday, January 26, at 9.30pm, in support of Laura Tierney and the charity set up in her name, Louby’s Lifeline.

The 18-year-old Norton College student, who had been diagnosed with two brain tumours, passed away in February last year.

The gig will feature Chu Ma Shu, Smokestack Sunrise and Andy
Warriner with proceeds going to help brain tumour research.

There will also be a raffle to win a luxury hamper with organisers welcoming donations to Louby’s Lifeline.

Entry is free.
