Men get court date

POLICE want to speak to any members of the public who witnessed an incident involving three men and a
woman on the B1248 at Settrington.

Officers were called to the scene after reports that two men and a woman were
attacking a man on Friday at 1pm.

All three men were arrested and a knife was discovered at the scene, said a police spokesman, who added there had been “no significant injuries.”

Officers have since charged two of the men with a joint common assault and the third with possessing an offensive weapon and possessing a bladed article.

They are now due to appear at Scarborough Magistrates Court on October 18. Witnesses are asked to contact PC 472 Mark Rees on 101.
