THE highest mountain in the British Isles beckons for an intrepid team of adventurers from the Wilf Ward Family Trust.

Trust service users Joe Arnott, Hugo Cassel and Ian Patterson, who live together at Sutton Cottage, Norton, will be joined by support workers Danny Fitz-George, Tristan Lee and Phil Dodsworth for the trek up Ben Nevis in Scotland in June.

Further support will come from their friend Tom Fletcher who has pledged to help with fundraising.

Proceeds from their climb up the mountain, which stands at 1,344 metres above sea level, will be split between Wilf Ward Family Trust, Help for Heroes and Prostate Cancer UK.

The three service users all live very active lives and regularly complete long walks on the North York Moors and the surrounding area. Joe, a regular visitor to Scotland, came up with the idea of climbing Ben Nevis through discussions with Danny and soon had the support of his friends.
