Anne McIntosh, the MP for Thirsk, Malton and Filey, is to host a meeting that will review the follow-up to the floods of Old Malton, Norton, Malton and Brawby on Friday.

“One year on from the flooding in Old Malton, Norton, Malton and Brawby, I thought it timely to bring the agencies involved together to discuss progress and plans for the future,” she said.

“I shall continue to work closely with the District and County Councils, Environment Agency, Yorkshire Water and others to secure a long term solution for those areas most prone to flooding.”

The meeting will take place at her constituency office in Town Street, Old Malton, on Friday at 2.30pm.
