Grants to raise awareness of the North York Moors are once again available from the National Park Authority.
Introduced last year, the new grants successfully funded 35 community and tourism related projects and facilitated the restoration of 3,670 square metres of drystone wall and planting nearly four kilometres of hedgerow.
Projects supported last year included energy efficiency improvements for village halls and the renovation of two war memorials.
The closing date for this year’s scheme is June 30 and projects will need to benefit a community’s environment, cultural heritage or facility.
There are three different grant schemes on offer – each with their own criteria and deadlines.
More information on the schemes and how to apply can be found at www.northyorkmoors.org.uk/grants or by calling (01439) 772700.
