Police appeal after Ryedale cyclist injured by car

A cyclist has suffered minor injuries after he was hit by a car which left the scene without stopping.

The man, who is and local to the area, did not medical treatment following the incident on Amotherby Lane, Amotherby, on Wednesday, June 25, at 6pm.

Police now want to speak to the driver of the dark-coloured saloon car.

PC Kay Campbell, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “it may be that the driver of the car which was involved in this incident is unaware that a collision has occurred. If you drive a dark coloured saloon car and were in the area around the time of the incident, I ask you to come forward so that I can take a statement from you.”
