Police appeal following Norton burglaries

Detectives want to speak to anyone who may have information about two burglaries in Norton.

The first break-in occurred at a home on Scarborough Road on Monday, sometime between 1.15pm and 8pm.

Thieves forced entry to the house through the back door but it is not believed they took anything.

The second burglary took place on Langton Road, also on Monday, sometime between 5.30pm and 6pm.

The burglars got into the property through an unlocked door and took the keys to a silver Peugeot 307 before leaving the premises in the vehicle.

Officers are appealing to anyone with information about either incident to get in touch.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Detective Constable Lucie Welford or Malton CID.
