POLICE are appealing for information following a theft in Malton.

Thieves stole a catalytic convertor from a Renault Master van parked on York Road Industrial Estate, sometime between Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 7.20am.

PC Andy Rogers, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am asking anyone who can identify the thieves to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.

“I am particularly keen to speak to scrap metal dealers who may have been offered the stolen catalytic convertor and ask that they get in touch.”
