Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team is £175 better off, thanks to the generosity of pupils at Sinnington Primary School.

Youngsters from the school recently held a coffee afternoon at Sinnington Village Hall where they welcomed their guests and serving delicious home-made cakes and drinks.

They were inspired to organise the recent fundraising event following an exciting talk by the Mountain Rescue team in March.

Parents and villagers were invited to join them for refreshments with the funds now going to the mountain rescue team to help the voluntary group to continue its much-needed work in the Scarborough and Ryedale districts.
