Reward offered after bike theft

A RYEDALE man has offered an £800 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for stealing his mountain bikes.

Thieves broke into an outbuilding at the man’s property on Main Street, Fadmoor, and stole three mountain bikes worth around £8000, sometime overnight on December 20 to 21.

The stolen bikes are a Scott Spark 20, an Airborne Mosquito and a Specialized Rockhopper.

Officers are appealing to anyone with information about the burglary to come forward.

PC Andrew Pomfret, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The victim is understandably keen to have his bikes returned to him and is even prepared to offer a reward for the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible.
