Brawby and Ryedale will contest the division two cup final after wins over Heslerton and Slingsby respectively.
Brawby 114-3 beat Heslerton 111-4 by 7 wkts

Despite only hitting the winning runs off the last available delivery Brawby gave Heslerton a lesson in cricket basics and were full value for their win.

On a miserable and
damp night Heslerton's ground fielding was poor, their bowling inconsistent and they only reached a respectable score thanks to some late boundaries from Malc Spaven who made 25 not out.

In contrast Brawby's nine men fielded well and their bowlers favoured line and length over long hops and full tosses with Mark Fairweather, 2-17, particularly impressive.

Rhys Crowe and M Veysey also bowled very well with the wet ball, and only Jake Keyworth with 32 built an early score.

In reply Brawby's Simon King batted with unhurried grace for 39 and John Crowe smashed a quickfire 20 before being run out.

Veysey added a cultured 19 and Heslerton managed to concede a match losing 21 extras.

Two wickets from Simon Oxendale in the penultimate over gave Heslerton hope but a last-gasp boundary from Paul Milner deservedly won the match for Brawby.

Ryedale 97-3 beat Slingsby 74-7 by 23 runs

Ryan Boyes, 36no, top scored for Ryedale and this turned out to be a match winning display.

Neil Fairweather was very accurate and his four overs cost just 14 runs.

Wayne Fawcett, 23, and S Marshall, 16, tried hard for Slingsby but their bid to reach the final in their first season in the competition was in vain.
