BROTHERS Rob and Jack Holt claimed three wickets apiece as Snainton 2nds pulled off a shock 90-run win over Scarborough 3rds in Derwent Valley League division A on a rain-hit weekend.
Snainton batted first and posted 199-8, with 14-year-old Scalby School pupil Jack Holt also among the runs with 28. He was well supported by Alex Clark (29) and Will Tyson (26no).

In reply, Scarborough were dismissed for 109, with the Holt brothers and Jonathan Davies (3-42) doing the damage.
Nick Ringrose claimed a staggering 8-10 as his table-topping Hunmanby side hammered struggling Bridlington 3rds away by 10 wickets.
Bridlington batted first and were skittled out for just 36 as Ringrose created havoc.
Hunmanby knocked off the runs without any difficuty, Matty Pearson leading the way with 24no.
The result means Hunmanby are now 26 points clear of second placed Scarborough 3rds.
Laurence Mills was the all-round star man for division C leaders Ganton 2nds when they defeated Cayton 3rds by 18 runs.
Mills hit 54 as Ganton posted 132-9, Trevor Davies being the pick of the Cayton bowling attack with 5-52.
Cayton were then bowled out for 114, Jonathan Best top scoring with 30, as Mills also showed his talents with the ball by taking 3-31.
He was well backed up by AJ Palakottil who ended with fine figures of 4-16.
Great Habton’s John Lumley (67) and Will Wright (60no) were both in fine fetle with the bat as their side claimed a comprehensive 143-run victory over Wold Newton 2nds.
Habton batted first and made 207-7 with Wright and Lumley leading the charge.
In reply Newton were dismantled for just 64, Martin Gollaglee starring with the ball for Habton with 7-18.
