Duncombe Park experienced mixed fortunes in the Derwent Valley Junior League.
Park lost out by 33 runs to Scarborough in the Division A Cup final at Heslerton, but a few days earlier they had clinched the league crown with a win against Driffield.

In the final, Scarborough batted first and tight bowling from Park bowlers James Skelton (2-12), Fergus Ward (2-8) and Jamie Harper (1-12) restricted Scarborough to 69-6.

Only Scarborough captain Michael Hirst and Alex Renwick reached double figures, both scoring 13.

In reply Scarborough bowlers Darren Mills (2-14), Sam Carver (2-14), Joe Royston Bailey (3-2) and Adi Jaydiev (2-4) ran through the Park batsmen

The man of the match award, judged by umpires Bernard Goulding and Robin Shepherdson, went to Scarborough captain Hirst for his contribution of 13 runs and his excellent wicketkeeping display.
