Rosedale were involved in an epic tie with Westover Wasps and after a frenzy of goals a last-minute effort from Westover saw them through to the next round with a 5-4 win.
The tempo of the match was shown in the first three minutes as both sides had a goal to their credit.

Westover went ahead through Joe Cairns strike and then a Matthew Tyreman penalty kick levelled things.

On the 10-minute mark Westover again we
nt ahead through Chris Hannam, but Rosedale responded when Jordan Bell pounced to score his first goal for the club.

Midway through the half Westover went ahead through Dan Locke and then increased the lead two minutes into the second half through Cairns.

That was just about the last seen of Westover as Rosedale battered them from every angle. Tom Bell reduced the deficit to one goal and then Kenny Weatherill bagged a goal to level proceedings at 4-4.

Rosedale continued to hold the initiative and it looked just a matter of time before the scored again but Westover had other ideas and broke away to the other end of the field in the final minute and when the shot was parried out the rebound was quickly struck into the net by Locke to the despair of the home side.

Goldsborough United were worth the win against Pro-Pak but the final scoreline of 6-0 flattered them somewhat.

There was not much between the sides at the break except that Goldsborough had scored two goals.

After Goldsborough had added a third the impressive Dean Sleightholme almost pulled one back but his effort hit the bar. Three more goals from the visitors wrapped things up.

Beckett League Kirkdale United visited Amotherby & Swinton Reserves and lost 4-3.

The hosts hit Kirkdale with a goal after five minutes but a free-kick from Shaun Smith saw the sides turn round 1-1 at the interval.

Amotherby struck first in the second half before Martin Grayson pulled Kirkdale level.

Two further goals from Amotherby left Kirkdale chasing the match although they did manage a late goal from Mike Turnbull.

Heslerton, from the Beckett League, should have been a goal to the good against Ryedale, but on the half-hour mark John Ellis shot wide from a penalty and Ryedale went on to win 2-0. Dave Hoyle and Adam Hornby were on target for Ryedale.
