Ryedale warm up for new season

Ryedale Sports Club FC's pre-season training will start a week tonight at 6.30pm on their sportsfield, Thornton Road, Pickering.
Any new players interested in playing for the club are invited to attend.

The club have two teams playing in the third division of the Scarborough & District League and second division in the RJF Homes-Beckett Football League.

The second team
also require a new manager or player/manager, any person interested is asked to contact any of the following, Steve Walker (01751) 473390, John Hodgson (01751) 477572, or John Reed 476319.

Ryedale held their annual presentation night at the Station Hotel, Pickering.

The Clubs’ two managers, John Reed and John Hodgson made the following presentations as follows:

First team: Manager’s Player of the Year, Simon Dale, Players’ player of the Year, Dave Hoyle, Young Player of the Year, Harry Reed, Top goal scorer, Adam Hornby. (33)

Second Team: Manager’s Player of the Year, Nicky Ibbottson, Players’ player of the year, Martin Foxton, Young Player of the Year, Sam Leng, Top goal scorer, Matty Gardner (10).

The Ray Goodbold Memorial Trophy was presented to Paul Lakin for loyalty and commitment to Ryedale for over 20 years.
