Edgehill boss Clegg wary of Scalby cup upset
Both sides have made good starts to their league campaigns but Edgehill boss Steve Clegg is fully aware of the dangers of playing lower league opposition.
He said: “Scalby have a good side this year and can be very dangerous so we know what to expect as it’s a tough competition to play in, we always like to do well in this cup and hopefully a win here would get us a possible away tie.” Clegg also goes into the game without a full-strength squad at his disposal: “We have a few injuries and knocks but we will look to field a strong side.”

The Otters currently boast a 100% record in Division Two and they have impressed against top-flight sides in the cup already this campaign.
Ben Webster has netted six goals from the centre of midfield in Scalby’s successful start to the season.
Webster, who signed from Union Rovers towards the end of last season, said: “We are doing well this season in the league and the cup.

“Edgehill’s league position says it all though. They are always up there in Division One, so they are obviously a good side.”
Webster added: “We have a lot of pace out wide though, which will cause problems for any team and we have nothing to prove because we are the underdogs.
“If we press hard and do what we do well then I think we’ll be able to grind out a result.”
