Saturday League: Depleted Newlands held by Seamer while Wasps smash 13 past Fishermen
Dan Bradbury and Scotsman Travis Wood bagged for Seamer, while man of the match Danny Jenkinson and an own goal levelled things up for Newlands.
Newlands boss Mancrief was relieved to leave with a point in the end as he admitted Seamer could have collected all three points on another day.

Hide AdWestover Wasps hammered Whitby Fisherman’s Society 13-1 after an emphatic performance.
Curtis Rose helped himself to four goals while man of the match Liam Buglass fired in a hat-trick.
There were doubles from James Seymour and Luke Jones while Chris Hannam and the impressive 16-year-old Josh Young rounded off the scoresheet.
Boss Jamie Heritage was hugely impressed with his entire team’s performance, while singling out Buglass and youngster Young.

Hide AdIn the only game played in division two, Newlands Park Reserves beat West Pier Reserves 4-3.
Two goals from Mikey Barker and a Rob Speight strike weren’t enough for Ray Thorpe’s Pier side to come away from the game with anything as Drew McCoubrey bagged a hat-trick and club stalwart Hugh Brown grabbed the winner.
Gary Dixon’s Seamer Reserves are setting a ferocious pace at the summit of division three and their run continued with a 9-0 demolition of Eastway Sports.
They led 3-0 at half-time, their goals coming from Danny Glendinning, Gareth Sygrove and Matty Dawson, whose effort from distance bounced and eluded the keeper.

Hide AdSeamer rammed home their advantage after the break, Sygrove going on to fire in a further three goals to take his tally to four, while Glendinning netted twice more to complete his hat-trick and Matty Burling also volleyed in.
Matty Drury was Seamer’s man of the match after a solid display at the heart of their defence.
Rob Clark was sent off for the home side.
In a clash of the two sides that formed Falsgrave last season, Tennyson beat Falsgrave Athletic 5-1 in an ill-tempered encounter.
Rob Whitehead grabbed a brace, while there were also goals from Sam Mahoney, Neil Forsyth and Callum Wood as Tennyson battled hard to take home the points.

Tennyson’s man of the match was Polish centre-back Luka Dros, while Ryan Wood also stood out.
Cayton Reserves and Commercial shared the spoils after a thrilling 4-4 draw, despite the home side leading 4-1 at one stage.
Martin Harwood volleyed Cayton in front before Simon Stubbs, player boss Stephen Gandolfi and Joel Boyer put them 4-1 up.

Connor Davidson and Adam Robertshaw stood out for Cayton at the heart of their defence.
Westover Reserves bagged their first win of the season with a 5-1 success against struggling Sleights Reserves.
Sleights led but the Wasps soon took over and player-boss Paul Brunger levelled matters up before goals from Dane Ramos, Tom McKenzie-Fenwick, Luke Rainton and a penalty from keeper Chris Townsend handed them the win.
Brunger was delighted with the entire team’s performance.

Hide AdWhitby RFC hammered Snainton 8-2 to move into the next round of the Harbour Cup.
Sam Richardson put Whitby 1-0 up but they trailed 2-1 at the break.
Steve Mothersdale’s men were soon back on top though as Ben Sullivan levelled matters up before Damon Craig put them in front.
Paul Jobling made it 4-2 before an eight-minute hat-trick from Mike Kilpatrick put a gloss on the scoresheet for the home side.

Mothersdale singled out former Whitby Town man Sullivan as their man of the match.
There was a shock in the Trophy Trader League Trophy as second division table-toppers Scalby were knocked out by third division Sherburn on penalties.
Sherburn led 1-0 through an Andy Adamson header from a corner as the hosts made a good start.

Hide AdScalby should have been level long before their 80th minute penalty, won and converted by Richard Simpson.
They were punished for their missed chances as the game went to spot kicks and Simpson missed Scalby’s second, with Rich Malthouse calmly rolling in the fifth and winning penalty as they won it 5-4.
Harry Walmsley and Malthouse shone for Sherburn, while makeshift centre-back Carl Marton and Mike Hartnett were in form for Scalby.
Edgehill Reserves beat Scalby Reserves 7-2 at Carr Lane, but they were matched by their third division counterparts in the early stages.

Hide AdJason Prosser put Edgehill in front but youngster Taylor Jordan levelled.
JP Watson tapped in to restore Edgehill’s lead, but when Hanz Carlyle was felled in the area, Jordan confidently stepped up to make it 2-2.
It was all Edgehill afterwards though, Andy Noon’s effort from the edge of the box handing them a 3-2 lead at the break.
Watson grabbed his second to make it 4-2 before Noon’s attempted cross flew straight in for 5-2.

Lee Dennis shone at the back for Edgehill, while Jordan was Scalby’s star man, with one of Scalby’s seven 16-year-olds, Marcus Kenny shining on debut at left-back.
