HAVING nagged for months to see the derelict Suzuki garage flatted I was delighted to see it demolished at last.
A planning knot had to be unravelled before the work went ahead and it took longer than I would have liked to bring in the bulldozers.

It remains to be seen in the middle of a recession when work may start on the shops and offices development approved for the site.

But at least in the meantime the eyesore has gone, the rubble
has been cleared and the ground left tidy.
