Flat caps will be welcome at a five course meal to celebrate the Malton Food Lovers Festival.

The Incredible Spice Men are teaming up with the roaming restaurant, the Chateau Marmot, to host the gala evening at Malton’s Town Hall on Saturday May 24.

And to add to the fun, Cyrus Todiwala and Tony Singh have stipulated a dress code of flat caps, tartan & turbans or black tie and cocktail
dresses.

“The Malton Food Lovers Festival Gala Evening should be amazing,” said Cyrus. “We’re so excited to be spicing up Yorkshire produce and presenting it in such fine and historic surroundings. With the Town Hall dressed for the occasion, we think all guests should be too!”

All the food will be prepared from local produce and will be washed down with matched wines and complemented by elegant live music.

The team from Chateau Marmot will also be on hand on Friday evening and throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Friday night’s menu will be a five course tasting menu from chef Sam Hodges, a Head Chef at Soho House, alongside live music; On Saturday, the menu will offer sharing boards, filled with the best of the festival’s produce and Sunday will be a four-course Sunday lunch with a talk from nature journalist Rob Cowen.
